The Bowen House is pleased to have local guitar talent, Audie Wykle and friends for an evening of finger-style guitar pickin’.
Audie Wykle began playing guitar when he was 12 years old. Audie has toured with Nashville singer /songwriter Ken Mellons whose hits include “Jukebox Junkie”, “I Can Bring Her Back” and “Still They Call Me Love”. In 2008 he appeared on the Jerry Reed tribute dvd, “21 Guitar Salute” taped in Nashville, along with guitar greats Thom Bresh, Pat Bergeson, Richard Smith, Chip Young and Brent Mason.
In 2017, Audie was inducted as an Artist Member of the Wheeling Jamboree. The Wheeling Jamboree is second only to the Grand Ole Opry as the longest running live country music radio show.
Audie will be joined by Eddie Estes from Orange, VA. He’s a regular performer at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention, held yearly in Nashville, TN.
Also joining Audie will be Jesse Smith from Cambridge. Jesse Smith builds acoustic guitars and has won many awards, including the 2021 International Finger Style Championship.
